Partner and Community Resources

Data Support Program

The Minnesota Voice Data Support Program works to build a network of data-proficient organizers and organizations across Minnesota. As part of the Data Support Program, our partners develop organizational capacity and skills in data management, gain access to core engagement databases, receive 1:1 and small group training, technical support, and mentorship, and build data programs that further their work while prioritizing compliance and data security for their communities. Through access to data systems and support, we work to ensure that our partner organizations are able to fully reach and serve their communities and further their own organizing work, and that communities of color are not kept out of organizing and policy spaces for lack of funding or data capacity.

Policy Organizing and Training Program

This program aims to uplift and support the issue-based and constituency organizing of partner organizations towards the goal of building a true multiracial democracy in Minnesota, eliminating participation and capacity barriers for new and growing community organizations working on public policy in Minnesota. Through legislative and municipal policy access trainings, coalition and event support, and resource development infrastructure, the Policy Organizing and Training Program allows partners to show up in policy-making and community spaces confidently, without being limited by process and systemic barriers. In collaboration with Minnesota Voice staff, partners help to identify and co-develop new programs that are specifically responsive to their organizational needs, and which further their community’s goals. As part of the Minnesota Voice table, partners also gain access to a larger network of coalition organizing spaces, aligned organizations, and policy work to become a part of and collaborate with. Resources include trainings such as Minnesota Legislative 101, Legislative Testifier Training, guidelines for how to host effective legislative events, and accessibility resources including local interpreter contacts and staff training resources.
